Things can get pretty dicey when water supplies run low. “Got Milk?” might be
a popular slogan and sell a lot of cartons, but “Got Water?” is a question you need to be
able to answer in the wild if you want to survive for very long.
So did you know you can get emergency water from a tree? I'm not just talking a few
drops to keep you alive either… I'm saying you can pretty easily fill your canteen over
and over by using a simple technique I call “tapping the watering tree”.
I'm not saying this should be your primary source of water by any means, but it will
certainly do in a pinch and it only takes a few minutes to learn.
There are various trees that work well for tapping, but it only works at certain times of
the year as you will see in the following short video…
Listen, you already know the importance of carrying extra water in bug out bag. If you
have been prepping for any length of time, you already have a Lifestraw or some other
type of personal water filtration system. But there are bound to be times when you find
yourself in the woods with a dry canteen and a good distance to the nearest water.
