The Volkswagen Van has been an iconic favorite of campers, hippies and cross-country explorers for generations. Many roadtrip adventure stories from the 60's and 70's are bandied about time and time again… usually with a nostalgic longing for the good ol' days in the eyes of the teller.
For many of us, those good ole' days wouldn't have been so memorable if they hadn't included 4 wheels, a bed in the back, and a list of exciting places to visit. Being one of the hippie types in my youth, that list was mostly comprised of great outdoor concerts/parties!
I must confess that I didn't own a Volkswagen… my own van travels were in a classic 1964 Ford Falcoln Club Wagon with 3 on the Key shifting. My companions were a German Shepard named Cherokee and whatever current girlfriend was willing to put up with my “free” lifestyle.
But even if you didn't cruise the highways and back roads in the past, you may have a reason to today.
I'm downright jazzed to share this new upgrade with all you VW Camper lovers of old, as well as the explorers and freedom lovers of newer generations. Don't miss the video below.

The featured vehicle seamlessly blends the freedom of the classic VW Van with the incredible space utilization technologies available in modern, high-end RVs and Motor homes.
Enjoy this groovy video (sorry, couldn't help myself)… you are in for a real treat!
I don't know about you, but I'm caught somewhere between flashbacks and visions of the future. Though I wouldn't trade the good times I had back in the day, I can certainly imagine how much more comfortable my travels would have been with these kinds of advances.
I'd probably be tempted to try it myself if Jan and I weren't already doing our traveling in this…
For those who haven't seen us before, here we are standing next to our away home…
At this stage in our lives, I don't think we are ready to trade the space we get in our 5th wheel.
How about you? Could a vehicle like this awesome new VW temp you to hit the road for a little free-wheelin' adventure? Let us know or share one of your “roadtrip” stories in the comments below.
Thanks for rolling with us!
Until next time…
Take care and God bless
